TAGteach – Using Clicker Training with Humans, continued
All that I am trying to do here is to disabuse you of ideology and get you thinking rationally and pragmatically about the potential uses of TAGteach with your youngsters.
If you “google” TAGteach, you will find websites for TAGteach International (www.tagteach.com) and a couple of blogs (tagteachblog.com and tagteach.blogspot.com), where you will find a lot of information about TAGteach and about its use with individuals with autism (I particularly like the videos that Martha Gabler has posted). The many illustrations of its effectiveness on the TAGteach International website will, or at least should, blow you away. There is also quite a bit of information about TAGteach and Autism on Mary’s blog (http://verbalbehaviorapproach.blogspot.ca/2010/05/tagteach-and-autism.html).
I am just a beginner at using TAGteach, but I am convinced that it will be an important addition to your ABA repertoire. As I implied in the beginning, instructor therapists make a lot of errors in their teaching. Learning about and using this TAGteach methodology will help to eliminate many of them.
